The Best PvP Games on Roblox

Roblox has no PvP genre. It has four subgenres built around fights, and on Sunday morning their games held 18 of the 98 spots on Top Playing Now and 29 of the 92 on Fun with Friends, but only 2 of the 99 on Top Rated. This guide picks from those charts, sorted by the kind of fight you want.

Murder Mystery 2 was the biggest player-versus-player game on Roblox at 14:20 UTC on Sunday, October 11, 2026, with 275,033 people in it, and it is neither a shooter nor a fighting game. Roblox files it under Survival, subgenre 1 vs All. Rivals, the duel shooter, came second with 227,467.

What counts as PvP on Roblox

Roblox's genre list, on a Creator Hub page last updated October 8, 2026, has no PvP genre. Developers pick a genre and an optional subgenre, can change them only once every three months, and Roblox says it reviews games and may change a genre that looks inaccurate. Four subgenres are built around fights:

SubgenreGenreRoblox's definition, in partGames on the charts
Battlegrounds & FightingAction"combat between two or more characters"38
Deathmatch ShooterShooter"eliminating the other players or team"32
1 vs AllSurvival"the others need to escape or defeat them"16
Battle RoyaleShooter"many players all fight each other"1

Three of those definitions name other players outright. The fourth, Battlegrounds & Fighting, speaks of characters, not players; we count it anyway, so this guide's PvP is a little wider than the strict sense. Together the four covered 87 of the 887 games on Roblox's charts that morning. Roblox keeps one shooter subgenre apart on purpose: PvE Shooter, where players "primarily battle against computer-controlled enemies", had 8 games on the charts, and none of them is in this guide.

The count also leaves out games where fighting other players is one part of a bigger game. Da Hood is listed as Open World Action and Blox Fruits as an Action RPG, so neither is here. Our own Fighting & PvP shelf is broader for the same reason: it holds 31 games, and 15 of them carry one of the four subgenres.

Crowds, friends and money, but rarely ratings

Roblox's Charts page ranks games several ways. These are eight of its charts at 14:20 UTC, with what each one ranks in Roblox's own words.

ChartWhat it ranksGamesPvP games
Top Playing Now"the number of concurrent users"9818
Most Popular"daily users"10018
Top Earning"total robux spent in the last 7 days"9821
Top Revisited"the proportion of users who come back after a week"7417
Fun with Friends"the proportion of time spent as groups of friends"9229
Top Trending"the largest relative increase in daily active users over the past week"999
Up-and-Cominggames "published within the last 28 days sorted by user growth"728
Top Rated"both a high number and proportion of likes"992

The 18 PvP games on Top Playing Now held 15.8% of the 8.31 million people in that chart's 98 games. Fun with Friends is where they stand out most: 29 of its 92 games are PvP, 11 of them 1 vs All games, built around one player against the rest.

Top Rated is the gap. Only Dueling Grounds, 62nd, and Death Ball, 77th, made it, against 64 Simulation games. The lowest like ratio on Top Rated was 96.1%, and only 3 of the 87 charting PvP games were at or above it. The median charting PvP game had 87.1% likes, against 89.8% for all 887 charting games. The data does not say why. A game where every round has losers is an obvious suspect, but that is a guess, not a finding.

The duel shooters

Rivals is built entirely around the duel. Its description offers "1v1 to 5v5 FPS duels where the first to 5 wins", and you challenge someone by stepping on a duel pad. It had 93.7% likes across 11.48 million votes, and it was 7th on Top Playing Now and 3rd on Top Earning. If it is the one you already play, our Rivals alternatives go further.

Hypershot is the broader arena: Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Free for All and Gun Game, plus 1v1 or 2v2 duels. It had 38,986 players at 94.5% likes. One Tap was first on Roblox's Trending in Shooter chart. It calls itself a sniper "FFA arena, no teams", runs servers of 8, and had 28,151 players.

BloxStrike is the team version: a "competitive 5v5 shooter" with round-based fights where you plant or defuse the objective and spend the cash you earned on gear for the next round. It had 20,870 players at 94.7% likes. Arsenal, created in August 2015, is the oldest Deathmatch Shooter on the charts, with 3,370 players and 88.5% likes. For the slower, recoil-heavy end of the genre, our FPS guide covers the milsims.

The arena fighters

Jujutsu Shenanigans was the biggest fighting game on the charts, 9th on Top Playing Now with 177,256 players and 86.2% likes. Its own description says its combat is "based off many battleground games". The Strongest Battlegrounds, whose pitch is "Train & fight others to be the strongest", had 68,828 players and 83.8% likes across 6.35 million votes.

The newcomer is Huss Valley. Created on August 31, 2026, it was first on Up-and-Coming, second on Top Trending and 15th on Top Playing Now, with 120,132 players and 88.6% likes. Its whole Roblox description is one word, so the record tells us nothing more about it.

Two ball games sit in the same subgenre. Blade Ball is a game where "a deflectable homing ball hunts players with increasing speed"; it had 24,921 players at 93.5% likes and was 7th on Top Earning. Death Ball has the same idea ("Deflect the ball, unlock champions") and was one of the two PvP games on Top Rated, at 96.1% likes with 7,520 players.

Dueling Grounds placed highest of any PvP game on Top Rated. Created on October 28, 2025, it is a "fast-paced PvP fighting game" where you fight with a range of weapons, and it had 96.4% likes across 2.16 million votes with 13,060 players. Untitled Boxing Game calls itself "just a boxing/PVP fighting game"; its Roblox title currently advertises a Street Fighter 6 crossover, and it had 20,588 players. For skill brawlers versus fighters that grow with your character, see our fighting games guide.

Teams with a goal

BedWars is listed as Battlegrounds & Fighting, but its namesake mode is a team objective: "Protect your bed. Once it's gone, you can no longer respawn". Its servers hold up to 40 players, it updates every Friday, and it had 36,225 players at 82.3% likes.

Command An Army, created on June 2, 2026, promises "massive team-vs-team warfare" in which you choose to attack or defend. It had 28,413 players at 95.1% likes and was 33rd on Top Earning.

One against everyone

Murder Mystery 2 gives each round three roles. Innocents run and hide and try to expose the Murderer. The Sheriff is "the only one with a weapon who can take down the Murderer". The Murderer's instruction is "Eliminate EVERYONE." Servers hold 12, and it had 90.8% likes across 11.84 million votes, 4th on Most Popular. Our Murder Mystery 2 alternatives cover the rest of the round-based shelf.

Violence District, still in alpha, is "a casual asymmetrical horror game where 5 survivors have to survive against a killer"; servers hold 6, and it had 75,712 players at 93.2% likes. Forsaken, also in alpha, asks survivors to complete objectives and survive "until the timer hits 0", while the killers are told to "Kill them all". It was 11th on Top Revisited with 62,989 players and 84.4% likes, and it warns of flashing lights and loud audio.

Flee the Facility is the small-room version: servers of 5, where you run from the beast and unlock the exits. It had 22,168 players at 92.1% likes. Survive the Killer was 11th on Fun with Friends, with 6,352 players at 90.3%.

These rooms run small. The median server size of the 16 charting 1 vs All games was 12, against 23.5 for Battlegrounds & Fighting and 18.5 for Deathmatch Shooter. Our server sizes study covers how full those rooms get.

The missing battle royale

Battle Royale is the subgenre Roblox defines as shooter games where "many players all fight each other" and "the last player or team standing wins". It had exactly one game on any chart that morning: Artemis Royale, "formerly known as Fortblox", with 103 players, on More When You Subscribe alone. On Roblox's charts the last-one-standing format barely shows up as its own subgenre.

Picking one

For the biggest crowd, Murder Mystery 2 or Rivals. For a straight duel, Rivals or Hypershot. For fighting, Jujutsu Shenanigans or The Strongest Battlegrounds, or Dueling Grounds and Death Ball if you go by ratings. For a team with an objective, BedWars or BloxStrike. For one killer against a group, Violence District or Forsaken, and Flee the Facility if your group is small.

How we counted

Chart positions, chart definitions and genres come from Roblox's Charts data, pulled for all devices and locations at 14:20 UTC on Sunday, October 11, 2026, across 27 game charts and 887 games. Subgenres, server sizes, creation dates, descriptions and votes come from Roblox's games API record for each of those games, pulled over the next 73 seconds; the chart rows carry only the genre, not the subgenre. The Top Playing Now share uses that chart's own player counts, and every per-game player count comes from the games API pull. Like ratios are likes divided by all votes. Definitions are quoted from Roblox's Creator Hub page on genres, last updated October 8, 2026.

Four limits apply. The charts are one snapshot, taken on a Sunday morning in the United States, and they move by the hour. A subgenre is the developer's choice, checked by Roblox, not an outside judgment, and some PvP games sit in other subgenres. Votes come only from players who chose to vote. And Top Rated lists only games with at least 5,000 daily users, so a well-liked small PvP game can be missing from it.
