Blox Fruits is the biggest RPG on Roblox's charts, and it is not close. At 19:15 UTC on Sunday, October 4, 2026, it was one of only three RPGs on Roblox's Top Playing Now chart, with more players than the other two combined. Our own refresh seven minutes later counted 241,386 people in it.
Is Blox Fruits an RPG, then? In Roblox's genre system, yes: it is listed as RPG, subgenre Action RPG. The same Roblox record still carries an older genre field, and that one says Adventure. Adopt Me runs the other way. Its older field says RPG, while its current genre is Roleplay & Avatar Sim, subgenre Pet Care.
What Roblox counts as an RPG
Roblox's Creator Hub defines the genre in two sentences: "Games where players embody characters in a fictional world, making choices that affect their journey. Players progress through a system of rules, like stats and abilities." It has three subgenres: Action RPG, for "real-time combat"; Open World & Survival RPG, where players "traverse an open world, often challenging the player to survive"; and Turn-based RPG. Developers pick the genre and subgenre themselves and can change them only once every three months, and Roblox says it reviews games and may change a genre that looks inaccurate. The genre shows on a game's page, and Roblox uses it to build the genre charts.
That definition keeps RPGs apart from roleplay. Roleplay & Avatar Sim is the genre for games where players "immerse themselves in various roles", which is where Brookhaven and Adopt Me sit, and our roleplay guide covers that shelf. Adventure is separate too, for exploration, scavenger hunts and story games such as Dead Rails and Break In.
The labels cut across our own shelves as well. Our RPG & Adventure shelf holds 24 games, three of them added today, and 13 carry the RPG label. Of the other 11, Fisch and Pet Simulator 99 are listed under Simulation, Jailbreak and Mad City under Action, and Creatures of Sonaria under Roleplay & Avatar Sim.
Few crowds, loyal players
Roblox's Charts page ranks games several ways, and the RPG's share depends on which one you read. These are five of its charts at 19:15 UTC, with what each one ranks in Roblox's own words.
| Chart | What it ranks | Games | RPGs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top Playing Now | "the number of concurrent users" | 96 | 3 |
| Most Popular | "daily users" | 99 | 2 |
| Top Revisited | "the proportion of users who come back after a week" | 83 | 9 |
| Top Earning | "total robux spent in the last 7 days" | 99 | 9 |
| Top Rated | "both a high number and proportion of likes" | 100 | 12 |
By headcount the genre is small. The three RPGs on Top Playing Now held 5.6% of the 7.47 million people in that chart's 96 games, and there was no RPG among the 96 games on Top Trending or the 54 on Up-and-Coming. The lower rows are where RPGs stand out. Only Simulation has more games on Top Rated, 64 to the RPGs' 12, and 9 of the 83 games on Top Revisited are RPGs. RPGs rarely draw the biggest crowds; where they stand out is in how players rate them and whether they come back. The picks below come from those charts.
The sea and the fruit
Start with fruit: 6 of the 52 RPGs that appeared anywhere on Roblox's charts mention it in their name or description, and Blox Fruits is the biggest of them. Its description asks you to become "a master swordsman or a powerful blox fruit user", fighting tough enemies and bosses while sailing across the ocean to find hidden secrets. The level cap is 3,000, fruits spawn on the map every hour and despawn after 20 minutes, and its 13.8 million votes come out at 92.3% likes.
Grand Piece Online sails the same kind of sea: you gain experience through quests, discover fighting styles and find ability-granting fruits, up to a max level of 675. Every Friday to Sunday it doubles legendary and mythical fruit rates and boss drops and adds a 1.25x EXP boost. It had 24,306 players and an 89.8% like ratio, and it was first on Roblox's Trending in RPG chart, which ranks RPGs by their rise in daily users over the past week. King Legacy, fourth on that chart, lists 44 fruits and a level cap of 5,450, and had 5,710 players at a 91.5% like ratio.
The fruit game placed highest on Top Rated is a small one. Haze Seas lists 36 fruits, supports Xbox and mobile, and sat 16th with 97.7% likes across 1.84 million votes, though only 1,272 people were playing it. Grand Blue, still in early access, has the best like ratio of the six, 98.4%. If the Blox Fruits loop is the part you like, our Blox Fruits alternatives go further down that road.
The dungeon run
"Dungeon" turns up far more often: 16 of the 52 charting RPGs use the word in their name or description. Here the unit of play is the run.
Dungeon Quest Reborn is the clearest case, and new to our catalog today. It brings back the original Dungeon Quest with quality-of-life fixes and new content, and says it is officially licensed by Voldex, the name on the original's Roblox group. You run the classic dungeons solo or with friends, take down bosses, and collect weapons, armor and abilities. It had 9,337 players and a 96.3% like ratio, while the original had 195. Reborn was 42nd on Top Revisited and 46th on Top Earning.
Iron Soul: Dungeon and Slayers 2 are the only RPGs on both Top Rated and Top Earning, and Iron Soul was also second on Trending in RPG. Its description sets it in a world broken into floating isles, and its loop is a skill tree plus crafting: gather, forge, upgrade. It had 3,785 players and 98.1% likes across 515,591 votes.
Anime Final Quest placed highest of any RPG on Top Rated, ninth, at 98.5%. You fight through anime dungeons, collect drops, challenge dungeon bosses and gather runes for your build. Pixel Blade, 79th at 96.8%, calls itself an "RPG / Roguelite / Dungeon Crawler" and lets you team up in a party of up to four or join a raid defense.
Bigger worlds
Slayers 2 is the only RPG on both Top Playing Now and Top Rated, and another of today's catalog additions. Its pitch is one line: "Become the blade that fights Evil Spirits, or the Evil Spirit that hunts them." From there you slay bosses, take part in raids and uncover secrets hidden in the shadows. It had 147,117 players and 97.9% likes across 926,526 votes, and it was fourth on Top Earning. It is one of only two charting RPGs in the Open World & Survival subgenre. The other, Booga Booga, is a game about gathering, building bases and attacking other tribes, with an 81.4% like ratio.
Attack on Titan Revolution, also added today, puts you on humanity's side against the titans. You build your ODM play style with upgrades, perks, artifacts and families, then take on Shifters in raids to steal their power. It had 16,935 players and 96.0% likes across 1.48 million votes, and was 59th on Top Earning.
Your Bizarre Adventure calls itself an MMORPG about stands, the "spiritual abilities" you collect, along with gangs and PvP. It is the only RPG on Fun with Friends, the chart Roblox sorts "by the proportion of time spent as groups of friends", and it had 12,080 players at 88.9%. Deepwoken is the hard end of the genre: "a difficult game with permanent character loss", set in a fragmented world called Lumen. It costs 400 Robux to enter, the only pick here that charges, and had 5,148 players at 86.3%.
Turns instead of reflexes
Only two charting RPGs are turn-based. An Average Campaign is a roguelike "intended to be played with 3 - 4 players", supports one to five, warns that it is "intended to be difficult", and names Dungeons & Dragons, Arcane Lineage and Slay the Spire as inspirations. It is still in alpha, and it had 4,343 players at 94.4%. Project Mirror Labyrinth is a roguelite deck builder that takes from Slay the Spire, Library of Ruina and Limbus Company. It was 58th on Top Revisited with 340 players at 97.3%, has no controller support, and warns of bright and flashing lights.
Picking one
For the crowd, Blox Fruits. For a dungeon you can clear and put down, Dungeon Quest Reborn or Iron Soul: Dungeon. For an open world where you choose a side, Slayers 2. For a group, Pixel Blade or Your Bizarre Adventure, or An Average Campaign if you have three or four people and some patience. For a game where death is permanent, Deepwoken, if 400 Robux and losing a character both sound acceptable. For anime-themed games across every genre, our anime guide sorts them by type.
How we counted
Chart positions, chart definitions and genre labels come from Roblox's Charts data, pulled for all devices and locations at 19:15 UTC on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and from Roblox's games API record for each of the 875 games on those charts, pulled over the next two minutes. Player counts for games in our catalog come from our live-stats refresh at 19:22 UTC; for games outside it, from that games API pull. Like ratios are likes divided by all votes. The definitions are quoted from Roblox's Creator Hub page on genres, last updated October 2, 2026.
Four limits apply. The charts are one snapshot, taken on a Sunday afternoon in the United States, and they move by the hour. A genre is the developer's choice, reviewed by Roblox, not an outside judgment. Votes come only from players who chose to vote. And Top Rated, Top Revisited and Top Earning only list games with enough daily users, at least 5,000 for Top Rated, so a well-loved small RPG can be missing from all three.
