Forsaken is the biggest pure-horror crowd on Roblox right now — roughly 55,000 playing — and it earns the slot by making the monster a player. One killer drawn from Roblox mythology hunts a lobby of survivors who fight back with character kits. It is horror at party pace, and losing is funny enough that nobody quits.
Evade turns the haunt into cardio: nextbot faces chase whole lobbies through mazes, and survival is mostly about not laughing so hard you stop running. Twenty-six thousand players and 9.1 billion visits say the formula holds. It is the loudest of the three, in the best way.
For the Halloween party call
Games that seat a full voice call, where the fun is the group, not the fear.
Murder Mystery 2 is the knife-in-the-dark parlor game the holiday was made for — one murderer, one sheriff, a room full of suspects — and at about 143,000 concurrent players on 30 billion visits it is the biggest thing on this list that is actually about deception. Rounds are two minutes, which means nobody on the call waits long dead.
Rainbow Friends is the gentle end of the haunt — hide-and-seek against bright monsters that startle more than they scar. Around 3,400 players as of September 2. It is the right pick when the group spans ages and the youngest player still wants to say they played a scary game on Halloween.
Dead Rails puts the party on a train through a zombie western — hold the line, feed the engine, argue about whose fault the breach was. Close to 16,000 players. It fits Halloween the way a monster movie marathon does: undead everywhere, stakes shared, blame collective.
The costume half of Halloween
For a lot of players the holiday is the outfit, not the fright.
Dress to Impress is the costume contest as a game — themed prompts, a timer, a runway, a verdict — and with about 36,000 players it is the obvious stage for an October look. Brookhaven is where the neighborhood side of Halloween happens — houses, streets, families, roleplay. At roughly 222,000 concurrent players it is the largest game on this list by a wide margin, and on Halloween it becomes the platform's trick-or-treat block: costumes on, door to door, story optional.
For the long dark night
Slow-burn picks for the solo player or the pair who want October atmosphere more than screams.
99 Nights in the Forest is a dark-forest survival loop — keep the fire lit, mark the nights, don't wander far — with about 88,000 players making it one of the season's biggest fits. Nothing about it is branded Halloween; everything about it feels like October.
SCP-3008 locks you in an infinite furniture store where the staff turn hostile after closing. Around 6,400 players. The scare is the setting itself — fluorescent daylight you learn to dread losing — and building a barricade out of bookshelves with a friend is peak low-key Halloween.
The Mimic is the closest Roblox gets to a horror film: chaptered, story-driven, drawn from Japanese folklore, better in the dark with headphones. About 2,600 players on a slow night. Bring exactly one friend; more breaks the spell.
Two deeper cuts, honestly labeled
Apeirophobia (about 750 players as of September 2) and Pressure (about 900) are quieter rooms than everything above, and we would rather say so than pad their numbers. Both are worth the visit anyway: Apeirophobia is the Backrooms done seriously — liminal levels, camera-monster rules, real dread — and Pressure is the DOORS formula taken underwater and played straight. Small crowds, strong haunts.
How to pick the night
Match the game to the group, not the other way around. A full call wants Murder Mystery 2 or Forsaken; a pair wants The Mimic or SCP-3008; a solo October evening wants 99 Nights; and if the answer is "we want the costume part," that is Dress to Impress night, no apology needed.
