Roblox games like 99 Nights in the Forest

99 Nights in the Forest describes itself in two short lines: build a camp with friends, and something is watching you. Its badge list says a great deal more, and because Roblox counts every badge it awards, that list also shows which parts of the game players actually reach. That is the map this guide follows.

99 Nights in the Forest had 156,135 people playing at 21:50 UTC on September 13, 2026, the seventh-busiest of the 116 games in our catalog with live stats at that moment, on 29.5 billion lifetime visits and a 90.5% like ratio across 5.9 million votes. Roblox's record shows it was created on March 4, 2025, by the group Grandma's Favourite Games. Its official description is two lines long: "Build a camp with friends." and "Something is watching you." Nothing first-party names the watcher, so this guide does not either.

The badge list says more. It holds 57 badges, and Roblox's badges API reports how many times each has been awarded, the closest public record of what people actually do in the forest. The most-awarded badge is not for surviving. It is Firemaking I, for upgrading the campfire to level 3, awarded 697,148,239 times, against 389,811,677 for reaching day 10. Next come Firemaking II (536,336,186) and Combat, for defending the campfire from Cultists (461,197,978), and First Aid, for reviving a teammate, has 312,158,943. So the game is a fire first, a fight around it second and a count of days third, with a forest full of errands behind all three.

The fire, and the camp around it

The campfire is the thing you invest in. Four Firemaking badges track its upgrades, the last "to reveal the entire map", and a Homemaking badge added in June 2026 asks for more than 50 pieces of furniture at your base. If the camp was the part you loved, 3008 is the closest match in our catalog. Its description, set in "the unusually large furniture store", is blunt: "Build a base, survive from employees." One of its five badges, Close Call, goes to players whose furniture saves them from a lethal fall. About 10,154 players were in it on September 13, with a 91.7% like ratio.

Islands is the camp with the threat turned down: its description lists your own island, huge farms, animals, cooking, and looting monsters and bosses. It is quiet, with 1,026 players the same day, an 89.8% like ratio and a most recent update dated January 19, 2026.

The fight at the fire

Combat is the third most-awarded badge in 99 Nights, and a later one, Dueling, asks you to defeat all waves of enemies in the Fight Pit. If holding the line kept you there, Zombie Attack is the plain version: team up with friends, earn new weapons and "survive the most waves possible". It is small now, 485 players on September 13, but its 94.3% like ratio across 1.45 million votes is the highest of any game in this guide.

Tower Defense Simulator turns the fight into planning. "Place units to defend against hordes of zombies," its description says, so you decide where the defence stands before the wave arrives. It had 11,510 players the same day and a 94.2% like ratio.

The count

Then there is the number. 99 Nights awards a badge every ten days from day 10 to day 100. For every 100 awards at day 10 there are 69 at day 20, the steepest step on the ladder, and each step after that keeps more people than the one before it: 94 of every 100 who reach day 90 also reach day 100. Day 100 has 84,533,887 awards, 21.7% of the day-10 total, and more than six in ten of the day-50 awards became day-100 awards.

The table pairs milestone badges that each game created on the same day, so neither badge had a head start on the counter.

The milestones differ in size, so this is not a difficulty ranking. Natural Disaster Survival is the count in short rounds: its disaster badges add up survivals over time, with a separate badge, High Survive Five, for five rounds in a row, and the ladder runs on to 100 disasters (11,138,972 awards). It had 12,796 players on September 13 and a 90.8% like ratio. Dandy's World is the count with a team: its Teamwork badge asks for a duo machine done alongside another player. It had 33,316 players the same day, the busiest pick in this guide, with an 86.6% like ratio.

The crew and the long road

In 99 Nights, a badge called Teamwork is for surviving 99 days with a team of five. Two games put that crew in a vehicle. Dead Rails sets its run in 1899, after a "Zombie Plague" swept the American continent and a cure was found in Mexico: gather friends, board the train and fight through a zombie-infested desert. On its counter, 27.7% of the 10 km awards became awards for reaching the end of the tracks at 80 km, next to 21.7% for day 100 in the forest. It had 18,598 players on September 13, with a 92.6% like ratio.

A Dusty Trip opens with an instruction to press R to start the engine and keeps you on a desert road. Its ladder is the steepest in the table by far, at 5.7% from 1,000 meters to 10,000, and its badges mark what waits along the way: a river at 5,000 meters on the Grass Map, a forest at 10,000, a tunnel at 15,000. It had 10,850 players the same day, a 90.1% like ratio, and an update published earlier that day.

The forest itself

The last thread is the forest as a place with jobs in it. Orienteering, for saving the four missing children, has 93,550,951 awards; Hunting, for finishing the Pelt Trader's quests, has 57,806,699; taming animals has two badges of its own. Creatures of Sonaria makes the wilderness the whole game: you "start as a young, weak creature", find food and water, hunt, group up with other players and grow toward becoming an elder. With 30,983 players on September 13 and a 92.4% like ratio, it is the survival game where you are one of the animals.

Apocalypse Rising 2 is the forest with people in it who are not on your side: an open-world tactical shooter, in its description's words, that you survive alone or with friends, gathering food, ammo and vehicle parts across an archipelago while fending off the Infected and hostile players. Treat it as the hardcore step away from 99 Nights' co-op camp. It had 1,231 players the same day and an 86.1% like ratio, the lowest in this guide.

How to choose

Name the thread: the camp (3008, or Islands without most of the danger), the fight (Zombie Attack, or Tower Defense Simulator if you would rather plan), the count (Natural Disaster Survival in short rounds, Dandy's World with a team), the road (Dead Rails for the story, A Dusty Trip for the distance) or the forest (Creatures of Sonaria as one of the animals, Apocalypse Rising 2 against other players). The best Roblox survival games sorts the wider genre by mood, Roblox games like Doors covers the horror side, and the survival genre page holds everything we tag survival.

How we counted

Player counts, visits and like ratios come from the live-stats snapshot behind our game pages, pulled from Roblox's official games API at 21:50 UTC on September 13, 2026, a Sunday afternoon in the United States; they move by the hour. The ten picks held 130,949 players between them, fewer than 99 Nights alone. Descriptions and update dates come from the same API the same day, and badge counts from Roblox's badges API within two minutes of the snapshot. Three limits apply. A badge count is awards, not unique people. Badges were added at different times (99 Nights' day badges on May 24, 2025, its fire and combat badges six days later), so the table only pairs badges created on the same day; the fire badge passed the day-10 badge despite that head start. And a badge never counts anyone who got there before it existed.
