Three threads run through that list. The first is history: nearly half a million awards went to players who were there before the game was called Arcane Odyssey, when it was World of Magic. The second is the sea itself. Entered the Dark Sea and True Captain were created on the same day, so they can be compared directly: for every 100 players who sailed into the Dark Sea, about 14 lasted the 40 minutes (13.7%). The magic, and where it came from
World of Magic is not a lookalike; it is the game Arcane Odyssey replaced, still hosted by the account vetexgames. Its description says so directly: "This game is no longer being worked on, as it was revamped into Arcane Odyssey." Roblox's record shows its last update on February 21, 2024. What it offers is the older shape of the idea: learn many kinds of magic, create a guild, and choose between protecting the world as a respected wizard or becoming "a dark wizard while being sought after by the Magic Council". It had 5 players, so treat it as a museum piece with a 92.1% like ratio across 12,467 votes rather than a place to find a crew.
Arcane Reborn is the other Vetex connection on the list. Its description calls it "An unofficial remake of the game Arcane Adventures, originally made by Vetexgames." It is the busier of the two, with 35 players and an update on October 15, but it has the lowest like ratio of Roblox's six, 80.0% across 56,195 votes, and its servers hold 3 players.
The sea
If the pull was a ship and the next island, start with Grand Piece Online. Its description sets you out on "the vast sea" for wealth, fame and power, with quests, fighting styles and ability-granting fruits where Arcane Odyssey has magic, plus arena modes and a battle royale. It had 12,092 players and an 89.8% like ratio, and it lists controller, PC and mobile support, which Arcane Odyssey does not. King Legacy is the same pirate frame with a long climb: a level cap of 5,450, 44 physical fruits, and fruits that spawn on the map every one to two hours. It had 4,940 players and a 91.5% like ratio.
Blox Fruits is the biggest sea game on Roblox by a distance, 138,245 players at 05:18 UTC. Arcane Odyssey's world is hostile by design: bounty and fame titles rank its most feared villains and most famous heroes, and only about 14 in 100 Dark Sea sailors lasted 40 minutes in it. Deepwoken goes further. Its description begins "Deepwoken is a difficult game with permanent character loss", sets you in a world that "spans hostile waters", and offers hundreds of abilities to build from. It is the one paid game in this guide, at 400 Robux to enter. It had 2,118 players and an 86.3% like ratio across 478,957 votes.
The Veil is the newest of Roblox's six, created on June 22, 2025, and the best liked game in this guide: 97.6% across 172,206 votes, with 1,259 players. It calls itself "A horde-based PvE & PvP MMORPG inspired by Mazerunner, Made in Abyss, and Terraria (Calamity Mod)": you go down into a labyrinth, collect weapons of varying rarity, fight hordes and deal with outlaws who play for chaos. It says it is available on all devices.
Dragon Generations is the busiest of Roblox's six, with 3,506 players and an 87.9% like ratio, and the furthest from the sea. Its description promises transformations, PvP and PvE fights against "your favorite Dragon Ball villains", and tournament arenas. It is on the list for its combat, not its world.
Picking one
Name the part you would miss. For the magic and its history, World of Magic or Arcane Reborn, knowing both are quiet. For the sea, Grand Piece Online, or King Legacy for the longer climb. For the build, Voxlblade. For the danger, Deepwoken if you will pay and accept permanent loss, The Veil if you want the same tension with more company and any device.
